JCAT (JOINT CRIMINAL APPREHENSION TEAM)

The Utah County Joint Criminal Apprehension Team (JCAT) performs an extraordinary service in pursuing fugitives across Central Utah. This multi- jurisdictional unit works in conjunction with the United States Marshals Service. Investigators from Payson City Police Department, Pleasant Grove City Police Department, Lindon City Police Department, Adult Probation and Parole, United States Immigration, Utah County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshal’s Office pool resources together by sharing intelligence and intelligence gathering as well as analysts and investigative resources. The benefit of this joint partnership cuts down on duplication as law enforcement agencies throughout the state work together to identify violent fugitives and move forward to make arrests thereby making our communities safer.
