Grants focus on projects to prevent childhood injuries.
PROVO, Utah (December 15, 2015) -- The Utah County Health Department's Injury Prevention Program announces the availability of $1,000 in community funding available for projects that work to prevent childhood injuries.
Projects that have been funded in the past include bike helmets for schools holding bike safety activities, long board helmets and signs on the Provo River Trail, car seat class and booster seats for daycare centers that transport children to and from school.
This is a great way for the Health Department to support local injury prevention projects," says Carrie Bennett, Injury Prevention Coordinator. "We have been able to support really unique projects in the past and encourage anyone interested to submit a project application".
