After 11 hours of deliberations a jury found Meagan Grunwald guilty on 11 of 12 counts against her.
After 9 days of testimony, dozens of witnesses, hundreds of items of evidence, and 11 hours of deliberation a jury found 18 year old Meagan Dakota Grunwald guilty on 11 of 12 counts she was facing. She was acquitted of the count of Attempted Aggravated Homicide against UHP Trooper Blankenagel. Grunwald was convicted for Aggravated Murder in the death of Utah County Sheriff's Sergeant Cory Wride on January 30, 2014. She was convicted of Attempted Aggravated Murder in the shooting and wounding of Utah County Sheriff's Deputy Greg Sherwood on the same date. She was also convicted of Aggravated Robbery against Chetney Williams during the same incident. She was also convicted of three counts of Felony Discharge of a Firearm, two counts of Criminal Mischief, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failing to Stop for Peace Officer, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Sentencing is set for July 8, 2015.
