Free car seat check point

Provo, Utah -- Por el Dia de la Madre el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Utah invita a los padres y a las personas a cargo del cuidado de ninos del condad de Utah a participar en un chequeo de los asientos de seguridad de ninos.

El sabado 9 de Mayo de 2015 todos estan invitados a un chequeo gratuito que se ofrecera por Mountainlands Family Health Center (589 South State St. Provo) entre 10 am - 12 pm. La seguridad de la familia y los hijos es una prioridad en nuestra comunidad. Por eso es importante que todas las personas que velan por la seguridad de los ninos pasajeros revisen sus asientos de seguridad.

Los padres y las personas hispanas que participen en el chequeo contaran con el apoyo de un equipo de personas acreditadas en el uso correcto de los asientos de seguridad para ninos. Ademas de responder a las preguntas de los padres y otros participantes, estas personas demostraran como instalar un asiento de seguridad y daran informacion y consejos sobre los diferentes tipos de asiento. No hay costos, requisitos o condiciones para participar.

Each year, thousands of young children are killed or injured in car crashes. Proper use of car safety seats can greatly reduce risk and help keep kids safe. Join the Utah County Health Department, Safe Kids, and the Mountainlands Family Health Center for a free car seat check on Saturday, May 9th from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mountainlands center (589 South State St., Provo). Although focused for Spanish speakers, English speaking technicians will also show parents and care-givers how to correctly install, adjust, and use child safety restraints in order to maximize their effectiveness by certified child passenger safety technicians. Inspections will be conducted on a first come/first served basis.
