A 35 year old Salem man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash in the Diamond Fork area of Spanish Fork Canyon. He is being treated at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.
On June 19, 2014, at about 11:00 A.M. dispatchers with Utah Valley Dispatch Special Service District received a call reporting a motorcycle crash in Sawmill Hollow. Sawmill Hollow is in Diamond Fork Canyon, about 14 miles from US Highway 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon. The rider is a 35 year old man from Salem. He and several others were riding motorcycles when he reportedly crashed and hit a log. The caller was a nurse, as were several others with the victim. They said the victim sustained possible broken ribs and broken collar bone, and related internal chest injuries. Spanish Fork Ambulance responded, along with Utah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue and LifeFlight. The victim was stabilized and flown to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
